I'm almost embarrassed to post here now. It's been so long since I got my new blog all set up; I should have posted weeks ago. Shame on me! I'll try to do better now.
I wanted to share my (few) pictures of my trip to St. Louis earlier this month. My cousin Mary Dawn and I went to CKC in Collinsville, IL which is just across the state line. We stayed with her friend, Kay's son Ricky. We all had a great time, but decided that we had more fun visiting the cool little shops around town than we did at the scrapbook convention. I think we're going back in June to the rubber stamp convention.
Anyway, it wouldn't be a visit to St. Louis without visiting the Arch. So to prove I really was there here are a few pictures I took.
The Arch is a lot taller than you think. When you're standing under it looking up it's pretty amazing.
The park around the arch was gorgeous. It's right along the river and all the trees were blooming. They were so pretty. I'd have enjoyed them more if my allergies hadn't been acting up, tho.
This is lavendula Hidcote and Alba (yes, it is white). Even though there wasn't a lot I still had enough to make some lavender wands.
I only made 3 and decided to dry the rest. I hope that later this summer I'll get another crop, so I can make more. :) If you're interested, you can find instructions to make your own lavender wands online. Just Google 'lavender wands'.
